I stand with you

This piece isn’t up for discussion. It’s my personal feelings and just straight f*cking facts. That’s all.

I’ve seen a lot of controversy over rape culture and I don’t believe “rape culture” should even be categorized as anything. Rape culture shouldn’t even exist, period. But tragically, it does.

There are so many attributes I can elaborate on in this piece, and lately here is rape culture being a bigger thing than ever, having it blow up than it has before now that celebrities are coming forward with rape culture in Hollywood.

This issue has been going on since the beginning of time and it is serious. All victims, and their situations are just as important as others. Regardless of whoever you are, whatever you are, whoever you do, whatever you do, and whoever you wear and whatever you wear. No one deserves to be a victim.

In my opinion, it should be educated. But, we shouldn’t have to teach others to know that act of rape culture and no consent isn’t right. What about this and this act makes it right?

When, No means a straight f*cking no. Being pushed away means get the f*ck off. Or when a elder comes on to a minor. What makes that right or give you the right to go ahead with this act?

In this case. Silence, which is highly taken advantage Is also a NO. It also a sign of fear.

Let’s not forget those who have taken action and came forward to a higher power, who we rely on for safety and support, and they don’t care enough to give it to us. I mean who else or what else has to be endure in this world to see that serious issues just like this need to change and action needs to be taken.

I have been a victim before. This is the first time I’ve publicly said that out loud, and I don’t give a f*ck because, I know others have been and I believe many people I know have had too. The violation of the comfort and security of my own body, my privacy. Feeling powerless, pushed, pressured and obligated to do something I don’t want to.  Of course that has shaped me in ways I couldn’t explain. I can’t even begin to explain the horrid impact this has on a person.

Not only that but let’s talk about sexism here, why does a women’s confidence with their bodies and themselves or anything in regards to women and their sexuality classify as “slutty” or “their fault” in rape culture or just in general?

Never less, why do women knowing this issue is not one to play around with victimize and accuse men as sexual predators? Putting innocent people in these serious situations. Another reason for others to be more afraid to come forward or for authorities to put this problem aside as if it is nothing.

I have a platform, and I have no problem taking that advantage. I am speaking on behalf of girls, boys, men, and women around the world who don’t have the power, voice or are too afraid to come forward. For Women in countries where rape culture happens everyday. Whose rights, of their lives, souls, body, and voices aren’t ever heard. We all have rights

You’ve all been heard. You aren’t alone and you’re loved.
