During the weekend and this upcoming week, Texas was hit with Hurricane Harvey. Many left with no electricity, and billions of dollars worth of damages were sustained. Many families, and animals have lost their homes, and are struggling to evacuate. The strong winds and heavy rains from the hurricane have also impacted the Caribbean and Latin America.
I would advise not to donate to the American Red Cross.

There are a lot of things going on and happening in the world where we can lend a helping hand in various ways, no matter how big or small. Please help spread awareness and help others who need it the most in this world.

Based on my experiences, I unfortunately agree with your assessment of the American Red Cross. My family saw the work ARC did in 2012 in New York after Sandy, and they were busier with photo-ops than doing the work at-hand.
